Qualified Passenger Vehicle Diagnostic Technician for Service Centre (Premium Brand) - Cape Town

Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced vehicle diagnostics and fault-finding on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
• Identify and resolve complex vehicle faults efficiently and accurately
• Utilize diagnostic equipment, software, and technical information systems to determine root causes of failures
• Conduct repairs and maintenance in accordance with industry standards and best practices
• Diagnose engine management, transmission, ABS, airbag, CAN-Bus, and other electronic system faults
• Interpret technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and repair procedures
• Perform quality control checks to ensure repairs are completed correctly
• Maintain accurate job cards and service records
• Support workshop staff with technical guidance when required
• Stay up to date with new vehicle technologies and diagnostic procedures through ongoing training and development
• Ensure compliance with workshop health and safety standards

• Qualified Passenger Vehicle Technician (Trade Tested)
• Minimum 3–5 years' post-qualification experience as a Diagnostic Technician in the automotive industry, service centre or workshop environment
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding experience on passenger vehicles
• Experience working with modern vehicle electronic systems and control modules
• Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment and diagnostic software
• Valid driver's licence
• Computer literate
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and repair procedures
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
