The Assistant Cook will perform basic culinary tasks and assist the Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in food production.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitise working area before starting the set up and whenever required
- Prepare food for service
- Perform basic cooking
- Prepare set up as per menu or buffet
- Display food for the buffet
- Responsible for following all food handling and storage guidelines
- Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a trusting relationship with clients and attend to their culinary needs
- Attend departmental briefings
Profile:
- NC3 Food Production
- Minimum form V
- Previous experience in a similar position is recommended
- Good organisational skill
- Flexible and willing to work odd hours
- Eye for details
